Jeanne E. Banning, 75, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at her home in Riverside of cancer. Banning was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Oct. 21, 1937. She was a 1955 Fontana High School graduate and a 1957 Chaffey Community College graduate.

A study finds that breast cancer patients taking the drug tamoxifen can cut their chances of having the disease come back or kill them if they stay on the pills for 10 years instead of five years as doctors recommend now.
